If you are diagnosed with osteoarthritis, most probably your condition will be classified under the  following stages:

A. Mild - this is characterized by a mild wear down of your joint cartilage. Symptoms are generally mild which may include occasional mild pain and brief morning stiffness.

B. Moderate- As the joint cartilage further wears away and joint fluid fails to lubricate and cushion the joint. Bone spurs or bone growth on the edge of the bone may develop and moving can be painful.
