It has been found out that many people turn to food when stressed out. Here are stress busting food that are healthy and improves one's mood:

1. Chocolate- recent research proves that chocolate, especially dark chocolate reduce hormones associated with stress. Although chocolate is a real good food, over indulgence is still unhealthy.

2. Oatmeal- Rich in carbohydrates, which can help release seratonin or our "feel good" chemical in the brain. Eating healthy carbs like oatmeal will help you feel good better and help us cope better with stress.

3. Low Fat Milk- A study has proven that calcium helps in reducing muscle spasms and soothes tension. So have a glass of warm skim milk when you feel that a stressful day is up ahead.

4.Salmon - Research shows that salmon, mackerel, herring and light tuna are rich in omega-3 fatty acids that help keep your cortisol and adrenaline levels from spiking.MP900442287

5. Spinach - a cup of spinach ( vegetables rich in magnesium) provides 40% of your daily magnesium requirement. Magnesium helps reduce stress levels and keep your body in a state of relative relaxation. If you are unusually feeling fatigue, tensed and have migraines you may not be getting enough magnesium in your diet. Try popping spinach in your daily recipes like soups, salads and sandwiches.
